Tell us what you don't like (we'll figure out how to make it better). “We're a 2-person development team, so we welcome as much community feedback as we can get! Tell us what you like (we'll add more of it). How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process? “We’re not sure yet, but it’s likely the final price for 1.0 may be slightly higher than the Early Access price as we add more features.” Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access? You can grow food, colonists can fight each other, and asteroids and space stations are explorable for loot and resources.” Players can manage colonies of humans, each with unique attributes and needs. “Starmancer currently has most sandbox features implemented, and is completely playable. What is the current state of the Early Access version? We’re aiming for the 1.0 release to have improved story elements and more content to make every playthrough completely unique.” We have lots of ideas in the works, some we may keep, some we might cut if they’re not working out. “Our plan is to continue improving and building upon Starmancer’s existing features, while adding new content to make the gameplay as fun, replayable and rewarding as possible. How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? We want to clearly indicate that Starmancer development is a continuous process, where it's significantly better today than it was yesterday.” There's no end to what we want added to the sandbox. “Our rough estimate at the moment is to stay in Early Access until late 2024, but this may extend until we’re happy that there’s enough content for our players (and then we'll continue adding more). We believe that with our community’s help, we will shape Starmancer into a game that generates unique experiences for every player while still being fun to play.”Īpproximately how long will this game be in Early Access? I assume too many people want to get their hands on the demos at the same time and Steam is trying to stagger their release.“Our 2-person development team started working on Starmancer as a passion project and have steadily been making our space station sim game become a reality. Please note: Right now, not all demos are available yet and I have seen players report that the Steam pages timed out for them. I am pretty certain the amount of games on my wishlist will increase even more in the next couple of days. These are just two demos I want to play – and a third one I already know. The demo may show us if the game can live up to that comparison – or if it’s not like Craft the World, show us its own strengths. I’ve seen comparisons with Craft the World and I guess there’s definitely a resemblance. But just in case you want to know more: It’s another building game. That’s still a while.Ī third one that I’m curious about is Hammerting. But well, the Steam page says “Early 2021”. I backed the game during its Kickstarter campaign and I can’t wait for it to release. The game is set in a futuristic Singapore. It’s going to be a point & click detective game where you’ll be playing as a private investigator. I already did play the demo when the game was on Kickstarter and wrote about it here. and then, after 20 minutes, remember that I actually started a game.Īnother recommendation I can give you right away is Chinatown Detective Agency. This is only bad if you’re like me – I start a game, then go afk do something else, read blog posts, watch a Twitch stream etc. After that, you can start a new game and play that one for 60 minutes again. Since it’s a rather open kind of game, they will allow you to play the game for 60 minutes. Starmancer is a building/simulation game where you’re going to build your own starbase. This one is surely a demo I am going to try. But most of all, there will be demos! I didn’t even notice the announcement until the developers of Starmancer pinged everybody in their Discord channel to tell all of us about their demo. It celebrates upcoming games – that is, there will be demos and game developers will have Q&As about their games. The Steam Game Festival launches today – and runs until June 22.
